Hit and stand
Hitting adds a card. Standing keeps the current total. The right choice depends on bust risk and dealer weakness.
Double
Doubling adds one card and doubles the practice unit. It is strongest when your starting total is good and the dealer is vulnerable.
Split
Splitting turns a pair into two hands. Some pairs, like 8s and aces, are split because the separate hands are much stronger.
